Our Melissa Hydrosol or Floral water (Melissa officinalis) is preservative-free, 100% natural and pure. Certified organic (USDA, JAS, Ecocert), this hydrosol is distilled at low temperature from the plant. This plant is distilled in France.

From the same Lamiaceae family as mint, the Melissa is an aromatic perennial herb with light green leaves and small white, pale yellow or pink flowers. It is also known as Lemon Balm due to its lemony fragrance. Cultivated since Antiquity for its therapeutic benefits, mainly soothing, antispasmodic and antiviral, the Melissa is frequently used in aromatherapy and phytotherapy nowadays.

With a sweet floral and lemony scent, the Melissa hydrosol is just as soothing, thus efficient to promote calm or relaxation. Refreshing, purifying and invigorating, this natural antiseptic will also be a great help during winter and to facilitate digestion. • Our hydrosols can be used both internally (it is recommended to dilute) and externally (facial toner, food, etc.)
• Ideal for dry, sensitive, irritated or mature skin types cosmetic-wise.
• Use precaution: hydrosols are sensitive products with a limited shelf life.
• Shelf life & storage instructions: They can be kept 2 to 3 months once the bottle is opened. Keep in a cool and dry place, away from light. We recommend to store them in the refrigerator.
